Eugene Barilo von Reisberg commenced his professional career in the arts at the Museum of Russian Art in Kiev, Ukraine, and at the State Hermitage in St Petersburg, Russia. He pursued his passion for arts in Australia, and worked at Sotheby’s, Fabergé, and the National Gallery of Victoria. From 1998 to 2008 he managed the respected Charles Nodrum Gallery in Richmond, and in 2000 he established his own art consultancy, BvR Arts Management. Eugene has produced a catalogue raisonné of Franz Zaver Winterhalter (available online) and in 2009 he completed his MA thesis on the artist at the University of Melbourne.
